Large park with plenty of parking and the historical buildings will be nice to see in the spring and summer and fall months. Has covered picnic tables and BBQ areas as well as horseshoe throwing areas.
Heg has two nice picnic shelters and lots of shaded area. It's clean and generally fairly quiet. There is a baseball diamond rather hidden away, and a large hill used for sledding. Horsehoe pits are on the upper side of the parking lot. Several historic buildings on the property open on summer weekends and are very interesting. Pokemon players have a number of stops in the park, and two gyms a very short walk away. Bathroom facilities at Heg are pit toilets.
Clean park and peaceful setting
Fun playground for young children, baseball diamond, historical museum, and pavilions perfect for summertime gatherings! Had my daughters 1rst birthday party at the park with 75 guests, and rented it for a few hours. Reasonable cost! Great for picture taking too.
